Lymington Town Sailing Club is hosting the National Solos to its inaugural SOLO open meeting on Saturday March 30th. The racing qualifies for the Sea and Southern Travellers (Southern) Series. The plan is for three (3) races which will be back to back, with the first race starting at 12:00hrs (first warning signal not before 11:55hrs), registration will open at 09:00hrs and there will be a competitor briefing at 10:30hrs.
Lymington Town Sailing Club is located on the South Coast, on the north shore of the Western Solent. There is a public slipway next to the Club which offers sheltered launching and recovery of dinghies. A public, pay and display, car park is in front of the club house. The club and its facilities are open to all participants, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast butties will be available from the restaurant from 09:00hrs and hot food will be available after racing.
Accompanying non-sailors are most welcome to enjoy the Club facilities. Alternatively they may wish to visit the Lymington Market Town. Lymington Market is on all day Saturday and is just a 5 minute walk from the Club. Lymington is also handy for the ferry to the Isle of Wight and is on the edge of the New Forest National Park.
