Publicity Officer

Many of you will be aware that our former President and current Publicity Officer Will Loy has been soldiering on despite his ongoing battle with significant back issues which have kept him off the water for some time now.  In an effort to plan ahead, Will is hoping to move to the picturesque Brixham area, where he intends to ensure his new accessible home will accommodate him and Caroline even in the event of further deterioration of his condition.  Sadly he has decided to stand down from his Publicity role with effect from this year's AGM although we can look forward to his final reports covering the Pusinelli Trophy, Nations Cup and Nationals.  We all wish Will the very best for the future, and in the meantime, we are looking for the next Publicity Officer for the Class.  The role includes reporting on major events - ideally from the perspective of a competitor close enough to the action to see it for themselves, but otherwise from details gleaned from others - also to engage photographers / video makers potentially including drone pilots to ensure our ongoing high profile amongst the marine press and on our website.  Please email [email protected] if you have any queries or may be interested in this role.

Membership Secretary & Dinghy Show Manager

Many of you will have been welcomed to the Class by our Membership Secretary Andrew Thompson, and you'll all agree he has made that a very welcoming experience!  In addition, Andrew has organised our presence at the RYA Dinghy Show, further showcasing the class and welcoming more members in.  Andrew's work commitments keep piling up and he has therefore decided he will not be standing for re-election at this year's AGM.  Our thanks go to Andrew for his hard work and cheerful approach.  We are therefore looking for people who could take on these roles.  Please email [email protected] if you have any queries or may be interested in this role.
